Perhaps there is no better lumber in existence than genuine Honduras Mahogany. This unique species is commonly known as “Honduras mahogany” and formally named “Sweetinia Macrophilia.” The grain and pores of this lumber has a density ideal for the carving knives, The wood is very stable and will not warp, cup, shrink or crack when properly seasoned and Kiln dried.
The Carved Wooden Doors are scribed from solid pieces of lumber and cut to the desired pattern. This process springs from classical carpentry and methods of perfect craftsmanship that allows for no short cuts in the composition of the hand carving in both the rails and the panels.
The selection of the wood blocks that are to be carved for the doors and windows in Mahogany or Teak are checked by the factory’s very capable and professional master carpenters and supervisors.
The radius of the moldings that dress the Arched Exterior Doors both in the interior and in the exterior of the Doors and windows are manufactured also utilizing solid wood instead of gluing thin strips on to a pattern.
