The Cremone bolts functionality allows 2 compositions. The first is the traditional operation where the surface bolts lock into the top and bottom of the unit, while in the second option the handle of the cremone bolt operates a hidden bar that locks into the jamb.

This option has allowed the window to be tested to minus 90 psf, the strongest pressure achieved in a mahogany window.
